International Child Art Collection (ICAC) Exhibitions
Program
ICAC consists of 3,500
artworks from fifty countries created by children and youth from around
the world. Exhibitions of framed artworks are loaned to schools, museums,
institutions, businesses and other public venues.
Each exhibition is
comprised of 25 framed children's artwork in sizes ranging from 16"x20"
to 20"x30" in a variety of media, including watercolor, pastels,
and fabric collages. Among many exhibition themes are:
"City
Town and Country"
Visit
a tranquil village in Israel on a warm sunny day, a town in Japan snuggled
under a blanket of snow, an afternoon market day in a Mexican countryside.
We journey to other countries and see how people live their everyday lives
in their own environment.
"Portraits
in Many Lands"
See the faces of Iran,
Italy, Korea, Germany, Poland, Zimbabwe and other countries. We visit
a bullfighter from Spain and many family portraits in this exciting exhibit
of the diverse cultures.
"Rediscovery"
A big
red dragon from British Columbia, colorful Danish houses, swimming in
Taiwan, an Ethiopian mountain village. Rediscover art forms used by famous
artists such as Picasso, Degas and Chagall as children interpret their
discoveries using various art techniques.
"Frederico"
Spanish gypsy child
Frederico celebrates country life with colorful watercolors of a watchful
parrot, visiting giraffes, stalking flamingos, and a startled lion. These
exceptional watercolors are a one person exhibit of an exceptionally gifted
artist.
